Step 5 or 6 in your routine. Serums are here to provide hydration down all 7 layers of the epidermis. You can use them as the sole moisturizing item (especially if you have truly oily skin), if you are on the normal to dryer side or even during the more wet/humid times of the year; serums can also be used underneath a heavier moisturizer.
